PCA has provided a new and comprehensive waste water treatment for the AluK plant located in Chepstow (Wales). The new water treatment plant was necessary because of the addition of a lacquering line with chemical pre-treatment within the company. The result is a fully automated and sustainable waste water treatment plant which is capable of purifying 9m3/h of waste water
PCA was contacted because the company wanted to reduce the environmental impact of the emission of the noxious fumes. Our engineering department therefore designed a horizontal packed gas scrubber with NaOH dosage to neutralize the acid vapors.
Our customer installed a new line for the surface treatment of aluminum profiles. This line consists of several baths in which the pieces are successively submerged. PCA was contacted to provide a solution to discharge the annoying rising fumes.
Our customer, an expert in HVAC, cooling and fire protection, faced a problem with their dry coolers. In order to ensure the operational reliability and to reduce the rising energy costs, PCA designed an adiabatic cooling system.
Our customer, a well-known producer of ecological wood panels, owns a large furnace that burns residual wood to produce steam. The flue gases are treated by a venturi gas scrubber in order to reduce the emission of fine dust. PCA was contacted because the amount of fine dust in the outlet of their installation exceeded the emission limit standard.
Our customer, an important player in the reconditioning of industrial packaging, treats the suction of the washing lines with a gas scrubbing system consisting of 2 stages. PCA was contacted to perform an inspection and preventive maintenance of the installation.
One of the longest indoor karting tracks in the world is located in the industrial park of Eupen. Since safety is their top priority, Karting Eupen was looking for an efficient ventilation system to prevent CO-poisoning by exhaust gases.
Almeco has provided Flanders’ Bike Valley with 4 fans diameter 1800mm and an available power of 180kW. The fans are part of a wind tunnel that is used for the testing of bicycles.
We were asked by a Rotterdam vegetable oil refinery to replace a fan of a Polacel cooling tower. The existing fan was a 14-foot fan with aluminium blades.
In a coating company PCA developed the automation of the complete production process. In this process several actions are done (pumping ground water, transportation, pre-treatment, drying and baking of the pieces in ovens, water purification, etc). PCA developed the control and complete visualisation of the process.
