About this role
As an industrial pipefitter, you are responsible for preparing components according to technical drawings. You ensure the conformity, quality, and traceability of manufactured parts, strictly following safety standards and technical requirements.
Responsibilities
The industrial pipefitter role includes several tasks:
Component Preparation and Assembly
- Cut pipes to size and prepare them for welding according to technical drawings and project specifications.
- Adjust components precisely to ensure optimal assembly before welding.
Use of Machines and Tools
- Band saw, belt sander, grinder, hand milling machine, automatic welding machines, lathe.
- Ensure dimensions and tolerances are respected.
Welding
- Perform TIG/MAG welding on pipes and equipment.
- Operate automatic welding machines according to procedures.
Quality Control and Compliance
- Conduct dimensional and visual inspections.
- Check accuracy of measurements and leak tightness.
- Ensure traceability of components and follow internal procedures.
- Monitor welding quality.
Technical Competencies
- Read and interpret technical and isometric drawings fluently.
- Knowledge of measurements and tolerances.
- Ability to perform circumference, angle, and surface calculations.
- Good knowledge of TIG welding.
- Experience with automatic welding machines.
- Experience operating an overhead crane.
- Experience operating a forklift.
Profile
- Technical education in welding, industrial piping, or equivalent through experience.
- Experience in a similar role in an industrial environment.
- Good knowledge of technical drawings.
- Work safely and strictly follow HSE regulations.
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain order and cleanliness in work.
- Independent and precise.
- Team player.
- Languages: Dutch and/or English.
