Drying solution for vacuum-packed sausages
This Ronair drying solution is specially designed to dry sausages in vacuum packaging. Our customer was looking for a more efficient alternative to an ordinary drying belt with air knives. With this method they did not achieve the required results. The products remained too wet. This resulted in a strongly delayed production process.
We developed an installation that consists of a blower box with a maintenance-free blower and filters, with a specialized dryer unit underneath. The dryer unit is equipped with a top and bottom conveyor with air knives to dry both sides of the vacuum-packed sausages. The conveyor belt has 20 easily replaceable cords. The requirement for noise production under 80dB(A) is met by using acoustic sound panels.
This installation was custom designed and has some special features:
- The conveyor was placed at a slight angle.
- The blower box is located on top of the drying unit.
- The top conveyor is manually adjustable in height.
- Cleaning is safe thanks to a security mechanism.
