Our long-established colleague Frank
Our colleague Frank joined Almeco in 2002 through acquaintances who where working here. He had the impression that Almeco was a good company with fun colleagues and decided to take the plunge. Now, 21 years later, Frank has become an established member of our company and he is still excited about it.
After Frank has worked as a plasterer for several years, Almeco contacted him asking if he would like to work there. He had some acquaintances in the company who thought he would fit in here. "They were looking for someone with common sense and hands-on experience. That kind of job seemed like something for me."
"I started working for Almeco in the business unit 'cooling towers'. I followed up on the worksites of the cooling towers and made quotations. At the same time, I had to make a practical assessment of the site and go on-site as a manager."
Meanwhile, Frank's position has already evolved somewhat: "Now I'm actually in charge of everything related to cooling tower maintenance and worksites. That means I'm also in regular contact with customers.
In addition, I'm now also a prevention adviser. Specifically this means I identify possible dangers and find solutions for them. I also check that all safety measures are respected and ensure the workplace stays clean."
"If I had to describe Almeco as a company, I would say we're a flat organisation where there's not really a hierarchy and open communication prevails. On top of that, we get a lot of freedom, trust and opportunities here. Do you have a good proposition? You will definitely get the chance to execute it. We don't avoid anything and try to solve any problem."
The ambiance among colleagues is also really good: "I am extremely comfortable here. We are all close to each other because we are such a small firm. At noon we play cards and drinks are organised regularly after work."
"The great strength of Almeco? We are very good at what we do and we have a lot of knowledge in our company."
